Welcome to the Learning Corridor website
and thank you for your interest in the Montessori Magnet School.
As principal of Montessori Magnet School, I have the unique
opportunity to work in Connecticut’s only public Montessori
School. Though we are new at the Learning Corridor, Montessori
Magnet School has been serving young children in the Greater
Hartford area since 1990.
As an Association Montessori Internationale
(AMI) accredited school, we strive for the highest Montessori
program standards while serving an extremely diverse student
population in a free public school setting. I believe Montessori
provides an excellent vehicle to meet the mission of magnet
schools, which is to reduce racial, social and economic isolation.
The ideal of the founder of our program,
Dr. Maria Montessori, was to educate children so as to build
a better world community focused on the establishment of a
lasting peace. It is our hope that the children at Montessori
Magnet School leave our program as confident, capable and
caring individuals who can make a difference in their future.

find describes our program in more detail, gives a description
of our beautiful facilities and elaborates on the application
process. Should you have further questions however, feel free
to call our school at 757-6100 and or attend one of our scheduled
