The Greater Hartford Academy of Mathematics and Science (GHAMAS) at the Learning Corridor is a public magnet school for grades 9 through 12 managed by the Capital Region Education Council (CREC). The Learning Corridor is a campus of magnet schools strategically located in the heart of the Technology and Educational community of Hartford.

The Academy offers a challenging and comprehensive curriculum in mathematics, science and technology to students with exceptional talent and interest in the sciences. GHAMAS will provide you with specialized high level and varied curriculum taught by master teachers and practicing scientists. The educational program is founded in laboratory experiences of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, biochemistry and molecular genetics, earth science, astronomy and electronics and engineering. Students in grades 9 and 10 begin to develop all the necessary laboratory techniques required for conducting research and working in a technology - based world. Students in grades 11 and 12 apply these practices while being afforded opportunities in research at area institutions and colleges/universities.

GHAMAS offers state-of-the-art technology, which prepares our students for the 21st century drawing on resources made possible by grants from various national and international institutions. With the expertise of a well-trained and experienced administrative and professional staff, GHAMAS is educationally uplifting, and an opportunity which affords our youths a solid foundation in the sciences.
